July 11, 2011 - Registration Forms Added for CF Vanier and Orleans The Registration form for Orleans Bowling Centre's 2011-12 YBC season can be downloaded here. The Registration form for Centre Francophone de Vanier Bowling Centre's 2011-12 YBC season can be downloaded here. For either centre, print out a copy and bring it in to the bowling centre to register along with the registration fee. April 4, 2011 - Spring Master and Youth Doubles Provincial Results Posted Our zone team from West Park wins Provincial Spring Master Tournament and the Zone X team from Merivale wins Junior Division at the Provincial Youth Doubles Tournament! Congratulations to Zone X's Bantam Boys Team who won Silver at the 4 Steps to Stardom National Championships which were held in Gatineau, QC from May 1-3. March 9, 2010 - High-Low Doubles Zone X Results + Bantam Boys to 4 Steps Nationals! Zone round results of the High-Low Doubles tournament can be found here. Congratulations to Zone X's Bantam Boys Team who won gold at the Provincial round of the 4 Steps to Stardom tournament. They will now represent Southern Ontario at the National Championships to be held in May in Gatineau, QC. Also congratulations to the Senior Girls team on winning a silver medal. Congratulations to the Vanier boys team on winning the bronze medal on January 24th. February 25, 2010 - Bill Mackenzie Tournament: Date Change Please note that on the Calendar of Events page, the date for the Bill Mackenzie (Coach-Senior) Tournament at Orleans has changed from April 25th to April 18th. The changes are noted in red. 2009-10 Season Tournament Results have been posted for the 4 Steps to Stardom Zone X Singles round, Master Junior Provincials, Strike 13, Ontario Triples (formerly known as the Combo Team tournament), Senior Mixed and Youth Challenge on the tournaments page. A few tournament results and pictures disappeared from ottawaybc.com when our old Geocities website was shut down at the end of October. These are currently in the process of being repaired. June 12, 2009 - New OttawaYBC.com website launched! With the recent announcement by Yahoo of the closure of their free Geocities web hosting service by the end of 2009, Zone X was forced to look for new web hosting alternatives. The zone has chosen Microsoft Office Live Small Business as Zone X's new web host provider. Microsoft provide us with 500mb of free web space and for a nominal yearly fee, a new, easy-to-remember url too, namely www.ottawaybc.com. Our old Geocities web page, located at geocities.com/ottawaybc, will continue to remain active until the closure of Geocities on October 26, 2009. However, visitors to that site ( geocities.com/ottawaybc), which now number over 3,000 since the launch of the original website, will be re-directed to the NEW Ottawa YBC Hompage. | |
